Plymouth latest council to consult on LNL

07 Aug
2013

This week has seen Plymouth Council as the latest council to formally consult on the possible adoption of a Late Night Levy. The consultation also covers changes to the wording of the current licensing policy and proposed changes to the existing Cumulative Impact Policy.

If adopted, it is intended that the LNL will operate from 1 February 2014 and would affect all premises authorised to sell alcohol from half past midnight (00.30) and 6.00am.

Various exemptions are proposed as particularised in the consultation.

The consultation closes 5 October 2013.  As elsewhere, operators potentially affected by the proposals would be well advised to engage in the consultation process.

Law correct at the date of publication.
